Chamber Reamers - Made in Germany
Our reamers are made from best high speed cutting steel and are perfectly ground on a 5-axis CNC-grinding machine. All reamers have a square for hand use and a precision ground cylindrical shank with metric dimensions. The pilot is changeable and made from brass. The dimensions are according to CIP-standards, SAAMI-standards or customers specifcations (wildcats). We have standard reamers (all diameters +0,05mm or 0,002”) or minimum reamers. Minimum reamers are especially used for the manufacture of pressure test barrels or for match rifles.
We have complete reamers, which include the forcing cone and rim but we recommend the finishing-reamer and the forcingcone-reamer in two pieces for more variability.
PRICE LIST REGRINDING
We professionally regrind chamber reamers from our production starting from caliber 5.6×50 / .223 Rem.
Chamber Reamers for Rifle Work
This tool is used for pre-roughing of the cartridge chamber. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The pre-rougher has large flutes for fast working. The high-speed profile gives short chips and less cutting force.
Optional fluted pilots are available. Optional carbide coatings are available.
This tool is used for roughing of the chamber for a rifle cartridge. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The dimensions of the rougher are 0,10mm below CIP minimum. Therefor the chamber is cut near the minimum dimension. When cutting a lot of chambers in the same caliber, a pre-rougher is recommended.
Optional fluted pilots are available. Optional carbide coatings are available.
This tool is used to cut the chamber for a rifle cartridge,
but without rim and without forcingcone. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The dimensions of the standard finisher are 0,05mm over CIP minimum. Therefor a regrinding is possible. Before using a finisher, it is recommended to use a rougher or a pre-rougher. When beginning to cut a pre-roughed chamber, you must work very carefully,
to avoid the reamer to “hook in”. If minimum chambers are needed, use a minimum reamer.

If a cartridge bearing has grooves or chatter marks, these are often difficult to remove. Polishing or “sanding out” usually causes more damage than professional reworking with the appropriate tool. Since chatter marks cannot usually be removed with a tool with the same teeth, the spiral-toothed reamer was created.
It reliably ensures a smooth cut and thus a clean surface. Due to the small chip spaces resulting from the large number of teeth, the spiral-toothed reamer can only be used for reworking. It is advisable to select the dimensions so that the cartridge bearing is not too large, but all the scores are still removed. This reamer is only available as a special design.
Chamber Reamers for Shotgun Chambers
This tool is used for pre-roughing of the cartridge chamber. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The pre-rougher has large flutes for fast working. The high-speed profile gives short chips and less cutting force.

This tool is used to cut the chamber for a shotgun cartridge, but without rim. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The diameter dimensions of the standard finisher are 0,07mm over CIP minimum. So regrinding is possible. Before using a finisher, it is recommended to use a rougher. When beginning to cut a pre-roughed chamber, you must work very carefully, to avoid the reamer to “hook in”. If minimum chambers are needed, use a minimum reamer.

Chamber Reamers for Pistol Chambers
This tool is used for roughing of the chamber for a pistol- or revolver cartridge. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The dimensions of the rougher are 0,10mm below CIP minimum. Therefor the chamber is cut near the minimum dimension. Reamers for cartridges headspacing on the casemouth have two cutting edges without recess for cutting the forcing cone. The other cutting edges cut the surface for the headspace.
Optional fluted pilots are available. Optional carbide coatings are available.
This tool is used for cutting the forcing cone of chambers of pistol cartridges. The dimensions are exactly according to CIP for every calibre. The US manufacturers only have one reamer with a standard angle for all bullets of one diameter. When using a separate forcing cone reamer, it is possible to variate the depth of the cone. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle. The guide is interchangeable and in the standard version made of brass. The diameter of G1are 0,01mm over CIP minimum, therefore regrinding is possible. Because the forcing cones mostly have very small angles, only cut with less force to avoid “hooking in”. For better guide the use of centrecones is recommended.
Optional fluted pilots are available. Optional carbide coatings are available.

This tool is used for finishing the chamber of a revolver cartridge, including the rim recess. The tool has a cylindrical shank and a square for use with a T-handle.
